English Local NetworksBarnsley Food NetworkThe Barnsley Food Network was set up in July 2005 for people working on food projects or interested in the food issues of the people of Barnsley. Overall it is hoped that the network will raise the profile of food issues and how they impact on the health and regeneration of the borough, strengthening links between local food projects with local food producers and businesses. North West Food and Health Task ForceThe North West Food & Health Task Force was established to identify, address and improve food and health issues across the region. It aims to develop and support the implementation of policies aimed at improving patterns of dietary behaviour with a particular focus on improving health, reducing nutritional inequalities, supporting the local food economy and improving standards in food safety and food quality in the region. An impact assessment of the North West Food and Health Action Plan was undertaken in November 2008.
